A Control Panel is a software tool employed to control the content of a hosting account. This can include, but is not limited to, files, email messages, databases, stats and different operations carried out with them. The Control Panel offers a web-based interface to manage all these things and anything else relevant to the web hosting service using different sections in which you can access functions through menus and/or buttons. The easier to use a CP is, the simpler it will be for you to control your web presence altogether. In the typical case, the Control Panel is the Internet hosting account’s back office, while a different billing account is used to handle payments and domain name registrations - if the company offers this particular service. Trouble tickets can be handled through the billing account or via a different system.
