A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you are running some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving junk emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be surprisingly easy in case you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the web hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve set up displayed in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously let you know whether a certain mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you like. In case there’s activated email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you’ll receive a warning notice from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have created using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
